The Grundy County Health Department has an available Medical Forms Screener position. We are looking for someone who is willing to help during a Public Health Emergency. This is a non-medical volunteer opportunity

You will be joining a volunteer corp. that is banning together and preparing to help in a Public Health Emergency.

As part of this volunteer team you will be asked to attend trainings every other month for about an hour. You will be asked to participate in quarterly phone drills and participating in yearly drills or exercises planned by the Health Department or its region.

Note: We are not a volunteer corp. preparing to respond to floods, tornados, or nuclear accidents/emergencies unless the situation calls for a mass vaccination or medication of public.

Our volunteer corp. is preparing to respond to a Public Health Emergency, an emergency during which we would open a large medication/vaccination clinic and dispense preventative emergency meds/vaccinations out to the public.

As volunteers you will train and work right alongside our staff here at the Health Department.

The Medical Forms Screener will assist in the registration of incoming patients for vaccination/medication during an emergency following set screener/registration process. **Medical Forms Screeners are currently not permitted to discuss any medical information or give medical advice to patients. **
