The Foundation of HOPE is an interfaith non-profit with the mission to "Empower incarcerated and released individuals to restore their relationship with their God, rebuild their lives, and reconcile to their communities." Located in the Allegheny County Jail of Pittsburgh, the Foundation of HOPE facilitates and coordinates all worship services that take place in the Allegheny County Jail, provides spiritual support and practical help to inmates of all faiths who are estranged from their families and communities and in need of encouragement. The Pre-release program is a n interfaith, faith-based rehabilitative program in which inmates live together, learn new skills and values, and grow in their understanding of themselves and their choices. Our Aftercare Program matches newly released inmates with resources, support groups, and mentors, who offer support, guidance, and practical assistance in making a healthy transition back into society. WE NEED YOUR HELP! We will be sending out our Mother's Day and Father's Day fundraising Appeal letters and need assistance stuffing envelopes and putting on postage in our Chaplaincy on Thursday April 27th.
