On-site volunteering at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics and UI Stead Family Children's Hospital has been temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please submit at form at http://tiny.cc/UIHCVolUpdates if you would like to be notified when we begin accepting new volunteer applications.

University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics Volunteer Services is a program designed for members in the community who are over 16 years old wishing to improve the experiences of patients and their families. Volunteers bring warmth and joy to our patients' hospital experience. Community volunteers are often drawn to placements in pediatrics, patient visiting, or hospitality services. College student volunteers often are preparing for a career in the health sciences and are drawn to a variety of opportunities providing hands-on experience in patient care. Popular placements include our Intensive Care Units, the Burn Treatment Center, and Physical Therapies.
