Ohio Animal Foundation is seeking talented writers to develop online content geared toward central Ohio animal lovers. We are specifically seeking writers interested in developing feature stories, shorter pieces, book reviews, and conducting interviews with area "animal people," rescues and shelters. We are looking for people who can commit to writing one article a month if possible, either with a specific "beat" (such as health and wellness, behavior and training, wildlife, etc.) or a mix of topic areas.

Although we are currently unable to provide financial compensation, this is a great opportunity to build your portfolio while helping homeless pets and other animals in central Ohio!

Requirements:

Excellent writing and editing skills. Must be able to meet deadlines and participate in occasional editorial meetings or phone calls. Ability to think outside the box when generating story and article ideas and include an Ohio connection or angle. Background in Journalism or English helpful but not required.
