Youth in Focus’ mission is to empower youth, through photography, to experience their world in new ways and to make positive choices for their lives. Adult, volunteer mentors assist our Teaching Artists directly in the classroom.

NEEDED: Adult Photography Mentors (black & white darkroom and digital)

DATES & TIMES: Mondays/Wednesdays OR Tuesdays/Thursdays
  • Fall Quarter is September 24th - November 15th, 2018
  • Winter Quarter will be mid-January through mid-March 2019
  • Classes are 4:30pm - 7pm, twice a week (see above)

Mentors in the Digital Photography classes need to be comfortable using Adobe Lightroom, and using the manual settings of point-n-shoot digital cameras.

Mentors in the Black & White Photography classes need to be comfortable using 35mm film cameras, processing film by hand, and printing photos in a darkroom.
