The JFS Refugee and Immigrant Service Center in Kent is seeking volunteers to assist with our Job Club for refugees and immigrants in south King County. Job Club helps newly arrived refugees and immigrants gain the skills they need toi find employment. Volunteers will assist the teacher with curriculum delivery and support students, who have varying English language skills, to understand the educational materials.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse cultures who are forging new lives in the United States. The volunteer "job coaches" will help new refugees apply, obtain, and retain employment. They will assist refugees in creating resumes and cover letters, searching for jobs using the internet, filling out job applications, and navigating the job market. Put your experience to work! Employment is one of the most crucial steps to refugee resettlement and self-sufficiency. Help make a difference in someone's life today!
