Summary: Staff the refuge Visitor Center on weekdays.
Description: Help staff the Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. Greet refuge visitors and answer their questions about refuge wildlife and recreational activities. Also track visitation, operate videos upon request, and help with other special projects. Currently we have a full schedule of weekday hosts, but we are recruiting for backups for when current weekday hosts are unable to come in for their shifts.

Description
Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge, founded by President Theodore Roosevelt on February 25, 1909, is one of the oldest refuges in the National Wildlife Refuge System (NWRS).
Managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the System preserves a network of lands and waters set aside for the conservation and management of the nation's fish, wildlife, and plant resources for the benefit of present and future generations.
Deer Flat National Wildlife Refuge needs your talents, enthusiasm, and time! If you appreciate and are concerned about the refuge and its wildlife, then consider becoming a refuge volunteer.
