Academic Enrichment

We are looking for volunteers who can commit 1-2 hours a week for a semester for to serve at-risk students, K-12. Our biggest need is Monday-Thursday, from 4-6pm.

All we need to get started is a basic application packet and a copy of a government issued ID to run a background check.

Feel free to stop by our office anytime Monday-Friday, between 10a-3p to get a tour/orientation and to fill out paperwork.

We passionately believe the Christian community development work of Parker Street Ministries is vital to our neighborhood and to the future of Lakeland. Without our efforts and collaborations with other organizations, the crime characteristic of at-risk neighborhoods proliferates, significant learning gaps widen in students, sub-standard housing continues, and the effects of isolation, with its corresponding hopelessness, is unaddressed.
