The mission of Canal Alliance is to help low-income, Spanish-speaking immigrants acquire the tools they need to thrive. We accomplish this through our wraparound strategy which is designed to help people overcome barriers to the acquisition of the skills to thrive. This process involves recognizing the diverse skills immigrants already possess, resolving immediate needs or problems, identifying opportunities for growth, and monitoring their progress toward goals. Canal Alliance believes that when extremely low-income immigrants acquire the right skills and abilities they can overcome poverty and build a pathway to success as new Americans.

Objective

Create high quality marketing materials for Canal Alliance.

Responsibilities
*Take photos or videos of Canal Alliance’s programs and events.
*Work in collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator.
*Provide Supervisor with final drafts, with a one or two week turnaround.

Skills & Competencies
*Ability to communicate effectively with students, volunteers and staff.
*Strong knowledge of photography and filming.
*Ability to independently manage tasks, schedules, and time.

Requirements
*Experience using DSLR cameras.
*Experience (at least one) using Photoshop, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro X, Motion, and Premiere.
*Have your own laptop or computer to work on (preferred, but not required).
*Bilingual English - Spanish (preferred, but not required).
