Community wide fund raiser for the American Cancer Society. Event will be held June 2012 at the Stadium of Champions in Hopkinsville, KY. Volunteers are needed on Friday evening to assist the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program at an information and recruitment booth that will be set up at the event. Will distribute information on cancer prevention, Senior Medicare Patrol and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.

PACS-RSVP Program has a dual purpose of engaging persons 55 and older in volunteer service to meet the critical needs of Christian, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, and Trigg Counties and to provide a quality experience that will enrich the lives of the volunteers.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, hospitals, and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of older Americans with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental insurance while on duty, pre-service orientation, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
