Welcome to Read Aloud Delaware! Our mission is to create a life-long impact through early childhood literacy. The children that we support need and enjoy the individual attention you will be providing as a Read Aloud volunteer!

New Castle County offers 44 Read Aloud sites and is the ideal location to start a volunteer career working with young children! You must commit to a minimum of 20 hours of reading in a year.

Description

We promote reading aloud to preschool children in order to encourage a love of books and a desire to become a reader. Join volunteers of all ages who read one-on-one to children in child care centers and clinics serving low income families. Statewide locations available.
