Welcome to Read Aloud Delaware! Our mission is to ensure that each preschool child in Delaware is read to regularly one on one. The children that we support need and enjoy the individual attention you will be providing as a Read Aloud volunteer!

New Castle County offers 44 Read Aloud sites and is the ideal location to start a volunteer career working with young children! You must commit to a minimum of 20 hours of reading in a year.

Description

We promote reading aloud to preschool children in order to encourage a love of books and a desire to become a reader. Join volunteers of all ages who read one-on-one to children in child care centers and clinics serving low income families. Statewide locations available.
