BEACON for Adult Literacy, an award-winning literacy organization, is recruiting volunteers to become instructors in the Manassas area. Literacy volunteers are needed to provide small group instruction to English for Speaker of Other Languages (ESOL), computer literacy, workforce literacy, pre-GED, and citizenship. No second language or teaching experience is required. Free professional level training is provided. Standardized curriculums and textbooks are used. Volunteers teach two to four hours per week.
