Monrovia & Pasadena Food Distribution: Ongoing Volunteer Opportunities:
Food Distributions are one of the many ways that we help our neighbors in need, and we couldn't do it without volunteers like you. Check out the schedule below, and sign up through our Civic Champs page to volunteer!
Orientation: Please sign up for an orientation after you've created your Civic Champs volunteer Profile. Once you've attended orientation, you can drop in whenever you have time to volunteer in our warehouse.
What to Expect After Orientation: Both Locations warehouses are open to volunteers Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm. Volunteers are to sign in on the kiosk at the front desk then report to food services staff to get started with warehouse tasks.
What an Average Week at FUCI Looks Like:Monrovia Location:
- Monday: Food distribution 12:30pm - 3:30pm (sorting packing food & distributing to cars)
- Tuesday: Sorting / packing food 8am - 4:30pm
- Wednesday: Food distribution 8:30am - 11:30am (sorting packing food & distributing to cars)
- Thursday: Sorting/ packing food
- Friday: Food distribution 8:30am - 11:30am (sorting packing food & distributing to cars)
Parking: No street parking on Thursdays due to street sweeping. Please drive around the building and park in the back parking lot.
Attire: Comfortable, sturdy, closed toed shoes. Volunteers should not wear tank tops or revealing clothing. Loose clothing can be a safety hazard.
Pasadena Location:
- Tuesday: Food distribution 8:30am - 11:30am (sorting packing food & distributing to cars)
- Wednesday: Food distribution 8:30am - 11:30am (sorting packing food & distributing to cars)
- Thursday: sorting/ packing food
- Friday: Food distribution 8:30am - 11:30am (sorting packing food & distributing to cars)
Parking: please park on East Walnut St. and walk up north towards the cul-de-sac.
Attire: Comfortable closed toed shoes. Volunteers should not wear tank tops or revealing clothing. Loose clothing can be a safety hazard.

Description
The Center acts as a lifeline for very low-income individuals and families who are struggling to survive. Clients are often unemployed, employed at wages too low to provide for their families, on welfare, or facing a temporary crisis. It also serves seniors, homeless, disabled, emancipated foster youth, victims of domestic violence, and students on limited incomes.
We provide critical support, in the form of food, heath services and crisis referrals to very low-income families and individuals in crisis. We work with other agencies to provide long-term shelter, counseling, medical, educational, employment and other assistance.
