ORGANIZATION: Materials for the Arts

Are you a creative-minded person looking for a way to give back to NYC’s public schools and arts community? If so, Materials for the Arts is the place for you! MFTA provides thousands of NYC’s arts and cultural organizations, public schools, and community arts programs with supplies they need to run and expand their programs, free of charge.

Shelf Stockers help sort and display a variety of donated materials in MFTA’s warehouse, from trim and beads, to office supplies and arts & crafts materials, to paper and books. Volunteers may also assist in the general tidiness of the warehouse. Some light lifting may be involved, but is not required. Please wear closed-toe shoes and be prepared for some dust. We provide gloves.

Current opening is on Mondays and Fridays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

This is a great opportunity to show New York that you care about the arts and the environment!
