The Friends of the Garden (F.O.G.) volunteers assist the Office of Conservation and Sustainable Living in maintaining the award-winning Glendale Xeriscape (low-water-use) Demonstration Garden, located at the Glendale Main Library. F.O.G. volunteers assist in the care and upkeep of the garden, participate in monthly group workdays, help with Green-Living events, assist with clerical duties, and act as conservation and sustainable living ambassadors.
The garden workdays go dormant in the summer and winter, but resume during the Fall and Spring! Occasionally, indoor volunteer opportunities arise to help with clerical work, but volunteers must contact us first before scheduling.
Here is a list of our upcoming 2019 Fall volunteer garden workdays:
- Saturday, September 21 from 8-11 a.m.
- Saturday, October 12 from 8-11 a.m.
- Saturday, November 2 from 8-11 a.m.
- Saturday, December 7 from 8-11 a.m.
Please email Anne Stahley to sign up to volunteer with us at astahley@glendaleaz.com.
