Bring your passion for women's leadership and your professional talents to this opportunity!

We are looking for professionals, executives or business owners looking to use their talents and expertise to give back to the community, and to share our work with your networks.

As Co-Chair of Volunteers & Interns, you have your finger on the very pulse of the organization, being in relationship with the other Chairs, knowing the needs, helping to fill the teams, and creating strategies for engaging and appreciation the 200+ volunteers we have, and recruiting more.
We also have two intern programs - a college program that takes place twice a year in the Fall and the Spring, and a high school program in the summer.

To be a board member we ask that you:
Attend our monthly board meetings (currently on zoom)
Donate to 50/50 Leadership at the level of $1,000 for the year (or get donations from others for at least that amount)
Co-Chair a committee - in this case, Volunteers & Interns
Attend our annual fundraising event (currently on zoom), invite your network to attend, and make a point to attend as many other events during the year as possible

We are a volunteer-run organization, thus we rely on the integrity, guidance and work of our Board members. Board members do not just govern the organization, they lead it.

Each of our Chairs have volunteers to work with them as a team, and more volunteers can be easily obtained to complete your team, once you identify the needs to complete the building out of your team.

If you want to join our vibrant team and are ready to roll up your sleeves and join us,
the process for board membership is:
Phone or zoom interview with Pauline Field, Chair
Send bio, photo and statement of interest and what you hope to contribute/accomplish as a board member
Brief interview with the Board
Vote by Board
Orientation to the Board
Meet with Board member to create strategy, timeline, and resources needed.

There is a 3-month trial - so both you and us can see if it is a fit.

50/50 Leadership is committed to promoting women's equal leadership. Our current programs provide financial literacy workshops and mentoring to women who have grown up in foster care, who are homeless, formerly incarcerated, survived domestic violence or other adversities, and a soon to be launched Investment program and a Cooking Show.
Programming is informative, educational and entertaining in service to our mission to promote women's equal leadership.

Mission Statement

50/50 Leadership is committed to Empowering, Educating, and Inspiring women from all walks of life to become Leaders in their careers and communities. Make a difference.

Description

Established in 2004, we provide financial literacy programs to young women who have grown up in foster care, been incarcerated, been unhoused, and/or survived gender-based violence. In the past, we led leadership training programs and honored women who are making a difference around the world.

We feel that every girl and woman should have the opportunity to realize their leadership potential. Whether they are a leader in their home, at work, school or in the community.

We are women and men from all walks of life who agree that leadership should reflect the gender of the population: women make up more than half of the U.S. population and should be equally included in boardrooms, elected offices, academia, and all public and private enterprises and endeavors.
