Lagniappe KREWE - A little something for nothing. Our volunteers have already donated over 26,000 hours since December 2011. This a very exciting time for the Airport as we are opening a $1 billion terminal this year. Come be a part of the move and assist passengers find their way around the new terminal.

New Orleans is one of the friendliest cities in America. Everyone feels welcomed and that welcome for many begins at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. Just think of the warm feelings you would have if you had just arrived at the airport and were greeted by someone with a welcome smile and beads, not to mention much needed information or assistance. We hope that welcome is from someone like you!

Armstrong International Airport is seeking volunteers who would like to be part of the service program entitled MSY Lagniappe KREWE. KREWE Members are non-paid volunteers from the community who donate valuable hours of service providing courteous and friendly service at this historic landmark - Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. Ambassador Duties Include:

  • Meet and greet passengers and visitors with a welcome smile and beads
  • Help passengers and visitors by directing them to the correct personnel, concourses, Airlines or amenities
  • Answer questions and provide information about New Orleans and the Greater New Orleans Metro Area
  • Assist travelers with special needs
  • Report problems to the proper authority

KREWE Members are stationed strategically throughout the airport and particularly at the concourse arrival exits to inform, guide and direct arriving and departing passengers. KREWE Members can be identified by their uniforms and name tags provided by the airport. Volunteers who are bilingual and are interpreters of American Sign Language are strongly encouraged to apply.
