Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare is seeking individuals interested in becoming members of the Volunteer Service Council of Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare. The Volunteer Service Council of Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare is an auxiliary of the hospital with 501(c)3 nonprofit status. It is a self-governing membership organization.

The Volunteer Service Council of TVBH guides and staffs many seasonal events enjoyed by the patients and clients of TVBH. Throughout the year, council members plan and assist with special events, fundraising activities, and material donations to meet the unique needs of patients and clients. The events receiving resources and support include: summer picnics, Halloween party and fall festivals, thanksgiving dinner, holiday dinner and party, donut days, and the holiday gift program (providing wrapped, individualized gifts for close to 400 recipients.)

The mission of the Volunteer Service Council is to develop and promote effective community concern on behalf of the patients served by TVBH in order to help reduce the stigma of mental illness.

Twin Valley Behavioral Healthcare provides the central Ohio community (15 counties) provides recovery-based, comprehensive, quality, cost-effective mental health services to adults with severe mental illness in a secure inpatient setting. TVBH is a regional psychiatric hospital within the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (OhioMHAS) Hospital System of Care.
