Warehouse Volunteers help ensure that safe and quality food, beverages and health products are distributed to over 800 non-profit organizations across Alabama. Volunteers make this possible by sorting, inspecting and packing items for these partner agencies. This is a fun, hands-on project for businesses or other groups and individuals! We offer regular shifts Mon-Thurs from 8 am to 11:30 a.m and 1-2:30 pm and Fri from 8-11:30 am. Please call and schedule your shift today! Any amount of time and commitment helps fight hunger across Alabama. Please note that our warehouse opportunities require a great deal of bending, lifting, and standing. Please contact the Volunteer Coordinator to learn about this and other opportunities!
About Montgomery Area Food Bank
521 Trade Center Street, Montgomery, AL 36108, US
The Montgomery Area Food Bank serves the needy across Alabama through member agencies by soliciting, procuring and distributing excess food, grocery and household products.
We are a private, non-profit organization that, since 1986, has been providing emergency food assistance to our neighbors in need. As a warehouse distributor of surplus, donated food, as well as USDA product and some purchased products, we distribute food to needy clients through our partner agencies, who work with us to eliminate hunger and its harmful effects via special programs. We currently serve 35 counties across Alabama.
