We produce six large mailings a year which needs to be assembled. This is fairly easy sit down work. These mailing generate about 15% of our annual budget, which helps us distribute food to needy families, seniors, and 100+ charities and foodbanks
Volunteers for bulk mailings can be scheduled as an individual or group activity, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Description
Founded in 1983, Shared Harvest Foodbank collects, warehouses, transports and distributes contributions of wholesome surplus food and other grocery style products to 100+ food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters and similar non profits in Butler, Warren, Preble, Darke and Miami counties which provide either hot meals or bags of groceries to people in need.
In addition, Shared Harvest distributes 35 pound boxes of food to over 1,700 senior citizens each month in Butler, Warren, Preble, Darke & Miami counties; distributes child friendly, nutritious foods each Friday to 3,400 Butler, Warren, Miami and Darke County elementary students identified as nutritionally at risk providing food for them over the weekends; and administers USDA’s Emergency Food Assistance Program for four sister Foodbank’s serving an additional 26 Ohio counties.
