The Dallas County Court Monitoring Internship Program is a semester long opportunity that works towards the elimination of drunk driving by observing court proceedings and collecting information on drunk driving cases in the Frank Crowley Courts Building. As one of MADD's core programs, the Court Monitoring program trains volunteers to observe the court system and collect information. This information is used to recommend constructive improvements to our judicial system.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
Attend any and all court monitor training.
Attend DWI misdemeanor court cases on weekday mornings.
Become familiar with court room procedure.
Collect information on DWI misdemeanor and felony cases and submit paperwork to the volunteer coordinator or other MADD staff in a timely manner.

Description
MADD North Texas Affiliate serves the 31 county, North Texas Region. We hold several special events throughout the year that require volunteer support. We also accept volunteers on an on-going basis in our office for various administrative assistance, speaking opportunities, victim suppport group assistance, health fairs, deliveries and pick-ups, and to assist with court monitoring and youth programs.
