FREE (Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment & Endowment) has come to Central VA, to provide self-sufficiency and mobility to disabled individuals, seeking durable medical equipment, with no costly fees. FREE's name stands true to itself, by providing wheelchairs, canes, walkers, lift chairs, and other rehabilitative devices that will help enhance independence and quality of life, FREE welcomes those with minimal or no insurance, all that is required is to fill out a simple application accompanied by a doctor's perscription to begin the process. We need volunteers to help with the following:
-Public relations and marketing
-In-Service presentations to healthcare and other local organizations
-Finance management
-Strategic planning
-Volunteer recruiting, scheduling and training
-Fundraising
-Computer and network maintenance

Description
The fight to regain physical mobility and independence after a serious illness or injury can be the most challenging experience of a lifetime.For many, partial recovery means reliance on special equipment to help them achieve their fullest potential.
This equipment can make the difference between living independently and productively or living a life of dependence and immobility. Imagine the frustration of knowing equipment is available that would give freedom and independence, but not having access to it because of inadequate insurance or the inability to pay. For many citizens throughout Virginia this is a harsh reality.
