Gentiva Hospice focuses on providing the best care to terminally ill patients and their families while focusing on comfort, symptom management and ensuring quality of life. Volunteering with Gentiva Hospice provides the opportunity to be there for someone when they may need it most, end of life. The relationships you build with Gentiva's patients and families are sure to impact your life as much as it does theirs.
Patient Visiting Volunteers provide conversation and supportive companionship, participation in leisure activities, or a quiet, caring presence. We encourage our volunteers to share their special interests in reading; craft work and art; music; life review such as recording oral histories and scrapbooking; and more. Tell us how you would like to share your skills, talents - your ideas are welcome!
Being a Gentiva Hospice volunteer means being part of an interdisciplinary team that focuses on the physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families. Gentiva Hospice offers an extensive orientation and ongoing support for all of our volunteers.

Gentiva Hospice (Formerly Kindred Hospice) is an agency with a commitment to people facing a life limiting illness and providing comfort and compassionate support for patients and their loved ones so they may experience the best possible quality of life.
