Are you looking for a rewarding way to help your community? Helping Hands of Henderson has that opportunity. Artie J Cannon - Helping Hands of Henderson has been serving the Henderson community since 1995. We are looking for compassionate and caring individuals to transport our clients to their medical appointments, the grocery store, food pantries, and other errands. Our goal is to support senior's while they continue to live independently in their own homes, even when they can no longer operate a motor vehicle. Volunteers can donate time Monday through Saturday between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. All of our seniors live within Henderson city limit, but may travel through the valley for appointments. In addition to transportation our volunteers provide companionship and community resources to the seniors of Henderson.

Mission Statement
Artie J. Cannon Helping Hands of Henderson Mission is to allow the poor, frail elderly and those with disabling disorders to maintain independence by remaining in their own home. Helping Hands provides transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores and personal errands, as well as, delivering supplemental groceries each month. In accomplishing this mission, residents may avoid or postpone costly long-term, institutionalized care.
Description
The purpose of Helping Hands is to provide transportation to seniors in Henderson, Nevada. Volunteers bring cheer and companionship to clients. Volunteers create and promote an understanding of Helping Hands and provide to the community a means of giving back to the seniors in our community. Volunteers utilize their own personal vehicle to transport clients and to deliver monthly pre-bagged grocery items to the senior community. Please note that we cannot accommodate anyone who is volunteering to complete community service hours.
