Are you looking for a rewarding way to help your community? Helping Hands of Henderson has that opportunity. We are looking for compassionate caring individuals in our communities to help seniors. We run a volunteer driver programs that helps seniors stay independent and active. Our goal is to support senior's even when they can no longer operate a motor vehicle. Our drivers volunteer their time to take seniors to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, pharmacy and other errands. Volunteers can donate time Monday through Saturday between 7:00am and 6:00pm. All of our seniors live within Henderson city limit, but may travel through the valley for appointments. Artie J. Cannon Helping Hands of Henderson has been in the Henderson community since 1994. Throughout the years the program has evolved into a full time transportation program for seniors in the Henderson community. In addition to transportation we provide companionship to the seniors of Henderson. We believe in caring and companionate services to seniors.

Mission Statement

Artie J. Cannon Helping Hands Mission The Helping Hands Mission is to allow the poor, frail elderly and those with disabling disorders to maintain independence by remaining in their own home by providing transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping and errands. In accomplishing this mission, residents may avoid or postpone costly long-term, institutionalized care.


The purpose of Helping Hands is to provide transportation to seniors in Henderson, Nevada. Volunteers bring cheer and companionship to clients. Volunteers create and promote in the community an understanding of Helping Hands and provide to the community a means of giving back to the seniors in our community. Volunteers utilized their own vehicles to provide transportation to the senior community. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate anyone who is volunteering to complete community service hours.
