The Kent County Parks Department welcomes volunteers of all ages and ability levels! From general park clean-up to special projects, we look forward to designing an activity that is perfect for the needs and interests of groups or individual volunteers. Some examples of annual projects: Spring Park Clean, Garlic Mustard Challenge, Fall Park Clean, October Invasive Species Control Day, the Annual Native Species Planting Project and more! We can also design an independent volunteer project for you or your group based on your interests and the needs of your favorite park!

Volunteer opportunities include park and lake clean-up, invasive species removal, trail building and maintenance, administrative/office support, tree planting, project leadership, painting, photography, internships, Eagle Scout projects, corporate sponsorship, environmental projects, Native Species seed harvesting, gardening, education, "Park & Trail Stewardship"... and more!

Most projects are scheduled between late March and late November; however, some special projects are available on a limited basis during the winter. Call for more information!
