Answering the Call to Vigil Volunteering
It has long been the practice to be with another soul as they face the end-of-life. Vigil Volunteers are called to be present, to ensure no one dies alone. The Vigil Volunteer provides support and guidance at the bedside for the dying which is a valuable gift.
The mission and philosophy of Heartland Hospice is to provide quality hospice care to patients with a terminal illness and to support their caregivers. We believe in treating the whole person, mind, body and spirit.
If this is something you would like to learn more about, please contact Constance Kingsley at 816-943-1798 or Constance.Kingsley@heartlandhospice.com
Hospice Volunteering is a gift from the heart, treasured and most needed.
