The Salvation Army in Red Bank continues a long tradition of providing for people's most basic needs ultimately striving to address deeper or long term issues. We provide food to a range of people - families, seniors, the homeless, veterans, the disabled, substance abusers, immigrants and numerous others, many of whom count on The Salvation Army food pantry.
Reliable volunteers are needed who can help with the maintenance and operations of their food pantry. Specific duties and responsibilities include: help stock food pantry shelves; assist with food delivery; occasionally assist with food drives; check for expiration dates; keep food items in rotation; help stock the walk-in freezer; package food items and occasionally assemble boxes. Volunteers should also preferably be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Volunteers are needed at The Salvation Army in Red Bank Tuesday-Friday from 9.30am-3pm.

Description
The Salvation Army New Jersey Division has been assisting New Jersey residents since 1880. Services and programs include food for the hungry, companionship to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter for the homeless, food pantry/feeding programs, opportunities for underprivileged children, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled and many more services for those in need.
The Salvation Army New Jersey Division currently has 28 Corps Worship & Community Centers throughout the State, 65 Service Units, adult rehabilitation centers, a residential camp and an active Emergency Disaster Services program.
