i.d.e.a. Museum gallery volunteers have an important role in our visitors' experience. They interact with our visitors by facilitating activities, encouraging children to explore, and answering visitor questions. Volunteers also monitor our galleries, re-stock supplies, and maintain a safe and fun learning environment. Volunteers may also assist with our daily story time, art classes offered at the museum, and other special programs and events.

This is a great opportunity for:

  • High school students who need service hours
  • College students who need course-related service learning hours
  • Retired educators who want to continue working with children in a fun educational setting
  • Those interested in art education or museums
  • Everyone in between who is interested in gaining experience working with kids!

Formal education experience is not required and training will be provided. Please plan to attend one of the following hour-long volunteer orientation sessions. All orientations take place at the museum.

  • Saturday October 8 at 10am
  • Saturday October 29 at 10am
  • Saturday November 12 at 10am

If you would like to sign up for a volunteer orientation or would like more information, please contact:
