The Boone & Scenic Valley Railroad and Museum is looking for persons interested in becoming a train crew member.
All volunteers will start out as a student brakeman, then when trained in that position, will be able to move up to other positions, such as conductor, fireman, and engineer.
We have volunteers from a wide array of backgrounds interest. Come experience how rewarding it can be to help our customers enjoy the history of railroading.

The mission of the Iowa Railroad Historical Society is to promote and encourage interest in the preservaion of railroad history through the application of an operating museum; to acquire buildings, equipment, track and relics specifically relating to railroads; to educate and promote public knowledge of and interest in historic railroad travel and to engage in activities for the accomplishment of these purposes.
