Are you a nursing student? Have you benefited from hospice services? Are you retired? Do you enjoying helping others? If you said yes, this is a great opportunity for you.
Visit with hospice patients to provide companionship and respite care. Volunteers will visit with patients 1 - 2 hours a week talking to patients, reading, playing cards, or helping patients write letters. Volunteers can sit with patients while family members may need a break or have to leave for appointments. Volunteers can also provide hand massage, aromatherapy, or gardening if patient requests and volunteer has gone through Living Waves training.
There are opportunities to visit with hospice patients in Frankenmuth and surrounding areas within 50 miles of Fraknemuth including Saginaw and Tuscola County.
