Ohio House Rabbit Rescue is seeking foster homes for rabbits that are available for adoption. OHRR will provide all of the supplies and food and will cover all medical expenses. You provide the green-leaf lettuce and the love.
A foster home setting provides the rabbit with a safe and nurturing environment while the animal waits to be placed in a permanent home. Foster home settings enable the rabbit to live indoors as companion animals and promote exercise and socialization through daily interactions with the foster family. Also, a home setting provides a quiet environment for a rabbit that is recovering from a spay or neuter surgery. As the foster family learns more about their foster rabbit, they can give potential adopters valuable information about personality and behavior. Ultimately, with more knowledge about the foster rabbit, adopters can make an informed decision when choosing the rabbit that best fits into their lifestyle.
Application process is required for participation.

Mission Statement
The mission of Ohio House Rabbit Rescue is to build and operate a Center for rescued abandoned pet rabbits, offer a robust adoption program, and provide educational resources and programming on the proper care of rabbits as indoor companions.
Description
Ohio House Rabbit Rescue (OHRR) envisions a community where all pet rabbits live indoors as companions and have access to a proper diet, habitat, and regular veterinary care for the duration of their life. In Central Ohio, each year approximately 900 unwanted pet rabbits are offered for surrender at animal shelters or rescues that are already at full capacity or do not have the means to care for the rabbits. Many of these unwanted pet rabbits are released outdoors by their owner, which is a death sentence. Rabbits that are admitted into an animal shelter may have been offered for surrender by their owner, rescued from outdoors, or be confiscated as part of a cruelty investigation. OHRR seeks a better alternative
Ohio House Rabbit Rescue is comprised of a Board of Directors, and a diverse Event Planning Team. All are working to support the Ohio House Rabbit Adoption Center: A rescue, education, and adoption facility in Columbus, Ohio.
