Help feed hungry children and families!

Need assistance to keep the food pantry stocked on a regular basis. Special opportunity to serve every Tuesday, shifts are from 9 am to 11 am or from 1 pm to 3 pm. More opportunities on other weekdays to re-stock and clean. Stock moves quickly, and needs continuous replenishing. Small groups are welcome, and regular opportunities for repeat service are desired. For example if your group wanted to serve the first Tuesday of every month in the morning - we would love that!

Description

The Salvation Army Fort Myers Area Command includes many locations offering multiple programs and services. Facilities include a residential shelter, Red Shield Community Resource Center, Outreach Centers in Bonita Springs, LaBelle, and Lehigh Acres, a Worship and Administration center. Programs include a comprehensive care program, family shelter, a correctional services program, a food services program which includes evening meals for the homeless and needy, crisis management for those on the verge of homelessness, an Angel Tree outreach ministry to disadvantaged homes in the area, and more. These social service programs help thousands of people each year and are very rewarding to be involved with.
