TRAINING ACADEMY AND VOLUNTEERING FOR Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) of Orange County.

Outstanding opportunity for people with compassion to make a real difference in your community! Candidates are trained to provide immediate emotional and practical support to victims of traumatic events. TIP Volunteers are called to emergency scenes throughout Orange County by firefighters, paramedics, police officers, and hospital personnel to provide support to those who have experienced a tragic event. Trauma Intervention Program of Orange County is committed to helping emotionally traumatized persons in their time of greatest need. We strongly believe that no person should be alone immediately following a traumatic incident.

Description

The Trauma Intervention Program of OC (TIP OC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which utilizes well trained citizens to provide emotional and practical support to survivors of tragic events. TIP volunteers are dispatched by fire, law enforcement and hospital personnel to emergency scenes throughout our coverage area in Orange County.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Driver's License Needed
  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 16
  • Orientation or Training
  • Three (3)- 12 hr shifts monthly, plus monthly mandatory continuing Education meeting on 2nd Wed of month (6:30-9:30pm). Completion of Training Academy.
  • Vehicle, Car Insurance, Cell Phone, TB Test, Background check; clean DMV record.
