Giving a ride may seem like a simple thing, but it has the power to keep someone in your neighborhood active and independent. Volunteer to drive!
Have a license to drive and a little bit of spare time? Live in Forest Grove, or elsewhere in Washington County? Right now, there are older adults and people with disabilities in your neighborhood who need transportation. Why not take someone to the grocery store, a medical appointment, to visit a loved one in a nursing home, or to the Senior Center? You can help someone take care of their basic needs and stay connected with the community.
Drive as much or as little as you'd like! Drive your vehicle or one of ours! Drive in your own neighborhood or near your workplace. Mileage reimbursement is available. As a volunteer driver, you will positively impact the lives of others, get to know wonderful people, and attend excellent trainings (which may lower your insurance costs).
