BECOME A FLASH FORWARD FESTIVAL BOSTON VOLUNTEER!

Flash Forward Festival Boston is the first-of-its-kind event to hit the streets of BOSTON - an international 4-day festival that showcases the best of emerging photography from Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. The Festival is an extension of The Magenta Foundation's successful emerging photographer's competition, Flash Forward, and its sister event, Flash Forward Festival Toronto. The annual competition is among the most important emerging art incubators in the world and has become a critically important vanguard for introducing international emerging talent to a global audience. Check us out at www.magentatelevision.com!

About The Magenta Foundation

Location:

151 Winchester Street, Toronto, Ontario M4X1B5, CA

Mission Statement

The Magenta Foundation is a charitable arts publishing house, the first of its kind in Canada. It fills the very specific niche of establishing a place for Canadian artists in the international arts community, and it provides a vehicle for galleries to join forces and promote the work of Canadian artists internationally through the publication of books and exhibitions. Magenta will bring the photographic community together and work in tandem with key players to help bring increased recognition to Canadians through U.S. and international representation. Magenta intends to set the standard for community collaboration and partner with other organizations to create the domestic and international presence Canadians need to succeed.

Description

  • Magenta's prime mandate is to publish works of art by Canadian and International artists.
  • Magenta is already collaborating with international representatives to become Canada's portal to the international arts scene.
  • Initially, Magenta will publish four photography books to establish itself as an arts brand, and then will choose another medium to publish.
  • Magenta is not limited to Canadian works. Magenta intends to produce both Canadian and international work.
  • In all Magenta activities, collaboration is a dominant principle.
