Since 2019, the Nubian Square Farmers Market , Ltd in collaboration with the MOER Foundation, Inc. has maintained the belief that every person has a right to adequate food obtained with dignity and respect. As a result, Farmers Market works to prevent hunger and malnutrition by providing food to people in need today and by promoting social policies to achieve food security tomorrow

Participate in daily educational workshops addressing, but not limited to, the following topics: plant care, garden maintenance, hand-tool use, food preparation, food cooking, cooperative and entrepreneurial business development, group-building and teamwork. Help manage several garden plots from crop planting to harvesting.

Help organize a youth-run cooperative business to sell produce at a neighborhood Farmer’s Market.

    • Help prepare healthy meals for co-workers weekly.
    • Actively participate in leadership development activities.
    • Represent both the Nubian Square Farms Youth Program and the CHW Workforce Food Recovery & Donations at community events and field trips.
    • Commitment to organic farming methods
    • A desire to take on an exciting and evolving project in its second season
    • Current driver’s license and acceptable driving record
    • Ability to operate a tractor and other farm equipment
    • Knowledge of safe working practices
    • Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment

Students will develop a thorough knowledge of garden ecology and improve their understanding of basic food nutrition and preparation.

Mission Statement

The MOER Foundation in collaboration with the Nubian Geographic Virtual Museum is a Platform initiative created by Indigenous Nubian Tribes of the Americas. The Nubian Geographic brings together the smartest teams to support some of the best cultural sites local small businesses, to combine their efforts in order to create new projects focused on historical preservation and sustaining Nubian wealth. The objective of Nuba Market is to encourage and foster the ideas of Nubian Geographic as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster the advancement of community small business development, health resources & historical preservation. The Nubian Geographic is comprised of Academics Scholars, business leaders & healthcare professionals united in the ideal of service to vulnerable populations. Our first step is to identify, advocate and develop a Nubian support network in the city of Boston.

Description

This goal of the Nubian Geographic Virtual Museum is achieved through positive collaboration, co-creation, coordination, and the combination of capabilities to generate hybrid cultural projects. The future of our Indigenous Nubian community is in multiplying the capacities of individuals & companies to allow for new locally sourced products and services, and with them, a new economic power. It is our goal to enlighten future generations of the Majesty that is Ancient Nubia while preserving her story.
