The Free Bookmobile of Sonoma County promotes literacy and a love of reading by giving away high quality books to people throughout the region. We are always look forward to having friendly volunteers help with our mission!
The Book Donation Delivery Driver will be assigned one week per month to pick up boxes of book donations from various collection sites throughout Sonoma County and bring them to our storage site in west Sebastopol. He/She must have reliable personal vehicle and be able to lift and easily handle 40 lb. boxes. Only requires a commitment of one half-day per month. This is a great opportunity to help a wonderful community resource!

Promotes literacy and love of reading by giving away high quality books to people throughout the Sonoma County region. On a mission of outreach, the Free Bookmobile especially seeks to serve children, families, and seniors living in rural and low-income areas.
Description
The Sonoma County Free Bookmobile is a program of the Sonoma County Public Library Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Bookmobile accepts donations of books and distributes them to children, seniors and adults throughout Sonoma County, focusing on low-income and rural areas.
We particularly strive to provide high-quality books to low-income children, and to present an opportunity that gets children excited about reading. To date, we have given away more than 105,000 books!
