AseraCare Hospice has an ongoing need for volunteers who will provide regular weekly or twice-monthly visits to our patients who are terminally ill. For some of these patients, these visits relieve family members so they can get out for much needed respite. For others, these visits help pass time for terminally ill patients who need someone to visit who will not be intimidated by their terminal status, and who will be open to helping them talk about what may be on their minds in this trying time.
AseraCare goes to patients where they live--home, nursing home, assisted living. We serve the Clarksville/Montgomery County area as well as Ashland City/Cheatham County, and Houston, Humphreys and Stewart Counties.

Description
Hospice is a program that provides care and support for people with life limiting illnesses. Nurses, social workers, hospice aides, chaplains and volunteers work together to provide individualized services. Hospice neither hastens nor prolongs death, but affirms life, emphasizes dignity, and enhances the quality of the remainder of a patient's life. Hospice adds life to days when days can no longer be added to life.
