Can you spend 3-4 hours, on one or more weekends per season, helping us build and maintain trails? If so, then please consider volunteering with JORBA's Save Mercer and Ride the Trails(SMART) trail maintenance group and help us maintain some of the best multi-use trails in the state! This is a great opportunity to get outside, meet new people and give back to your community in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We welcome anyone who wants to help out. There is no age limit but parents must accompany children under 18 years of age. The only thing you will need is some gloves and water. We will teach you everything you need to know.
SMART schedules Trail Maintenance sessions on the 3rd Saturday of each month, maintaining trails, collecting litter, and undertaking special projects (mapping, marking, erosion control, etc.). We meet at 9am at the Mercer county park Marina parking lot, and try to start work shortly after.
