  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

On Comcast Cares Day El Centro de la Raza will be the cornerstone of a neighborhood-wide project in the historic Seattle community of Beacon Hill! Projects will include street-side business district beautification such as exterior painting, window washing, landscaping, signage updates, planter box construction, & pressure-washing. To encourage activities for all ages and especially the families that utilize the on-site bilingual preschool, we’ll create arts & crafts projects to prepare El Centro for its upcoming Cinco de Mayo celebrations, and we'll also look to build a computer station/lab on different floors of the housing development. Come join us in making a difference in this community!

FOOD AND BEVERAGE: There'll be a Continental breakfast in the morning during registration, and a catered lunch from local businesses! Water will be available all day.

PROJECT DRESS: Please dress for the weather-layers and waterproof are the watchwords here in Washington! Long pants, closed-toe shoes and your Comcast Cares Day t-shirts are the order of the day!

TRANSPORTATION & PARKING: The Beacon Hill light rail has a stop right across from El Centro. Parking is free residential and can be somewhat difficult to attain in the area. There may be an event parking lot available - more to come on that.
