To assist with daily filing and perform departmental tasks when needed at Magee's Riverfront Outpatient Center (1500 South Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19147).

General Functions:

  • Assist with daily filing of confidential patient files in outpatient setting
  • Help with front-desk greeting duties
  • Deliver small packages, notices and information to staff and patients
  • Do copying and faxing
  • Do other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to work in the standing medical records stacks.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English with ease.
  • Must have a clean, neat appearance.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a service organization.
  • Training will be provided by the Riverfront Staff to familiarize with Outpatient Center layout, departmental structure & personnel, and procedures.
  • A self-starter who will follow all departmental and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Preferred but not required: working knowledge of medical terminology and medical abbreviations and symbols.

Magee Rehabilitation Hospital is nationally recognized for its outstanding programs in physical and cognitive rehabilitation, with comprehensive services for spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, amputation, and orthopedic injuries.

Accredited by The Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Magee was the first facility in the nation to be CARF-accredited in brain injury rehabilitation.

Magee, in conjunction with Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, serves as the federally designated Regional Spinal Cord Injury Center of the Delaware Valley. One of only 14 such centers in the country.

Inpatient services are delivered at Magee's main campus located at Sixteenth & Race Streets in Center City Philadelphia. Outpatient programs are delivered through Magee's outpatient network, including the Magee Riverfront outpatient center at 1500 South Columbus Boulevard, Magee at Watermark in Center City, and Magee at Oxford Valley.
