Assist Red Cross in communicating their message by informing the public of its events, services and disaster response activities.
- Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
- Cooperate with Marketing/Communications/Public Relations staff and volunteers to provide most current Red Cross messages
- Attend Chapter and Disaster meetings relevant to public affairs
- Maintain knowledge of most current Red Cross messaging, procedures and Chapter events and statistics
- Regularly submit press releases to media outlets in regards to disaster preparedness and other Chapter activities
- During ties of disaster, ensure the Chapter has a presence at critical media events and provied accurate information dissemination to and from the Chapter
- Aid in building Chapter Public Affairs capacity by mentoring new Public Affairs
Length of appointment: 1 year, renewable upon mutual agreement and satisfactory completion of key business objectives.
