Adult Literacy Tutor

ORGANIZATION: Fresno County Public Library - Woodward Park Regional Library

  • 18 people are interested

  • Give the gift of reading to an adult learner
  • Give the gift of literacy
  • Tutor an adult learner one-on-one in reading, writing, spelling or math
  • Extensive assortment of educational materials available for tutoring session, free of charge
  • On-going information and consultation as needed
  • Volunteer shift varies based on learner between 30 - 60 minutes in timeframes to follow:
  • Volunteer shift: M-Th 9:00am - 7:30pm
  • Volunteer shift: Fri and Sat 9:00am - 3:30pm
  • Volunteer shift: Sun 12:00pm - 3:30pm
  • Submit monthly reports on hours tutored, progress and challenges
  • Maintain contact with Literacy Services Center regarding student needs, concerns, questions, etc.
