A local non-profit organization, AlterMed Research Foundation, is seeking a highly motivated Volunteer Networking Coordinator for the AlterMed Fort Collins/Denver/Boulder Networking Group. AlterMed is looking for a neworker who harvests a passion for the integration of evidence-based (science-based) complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) into mainstream medicine to dramatically transform healthcare to whole person care addressing cause & preventative care, and promote evidence-based CAM research and education. The Networking Coordinator will work under the direction of AlterMed’s Executive Director to start a Fort Collins Chapter of AlterMed Colorado Networking group and to host regular MeetUps http://www.meetup.com/AlterMedColoradoNetworking (rotating MeetUps at various locations Fort Collins, Boulder, Denver, and Estes Park) to gather interested partner organizations (thus increasing meetup attendance and members) to advance AlterMed’s mission & education/research initiatives, and to promote the upcoming Colorado Integrative Medicine Conference (summer of 2025)

Guidance will be provided, but the coordinator will have primary responsibilities in: - generating free Denver/Fort Collins Networking ideas (hikes, tea, speakers, etc.), consistent to meet AlterMed mission - setting up networking events (one event per quarter at a minimum) - facilitating and leading each event - maintaining the interactive MeetUp.com website - enthusiastically promote networking for all members - generating a defined platform for national distribution and expansion of similar, AlterMed- hosted Networking Groups. This volunteer must be a US Citizen and / or a legal US resident (preferably located in Northern Colorado)
