The Foster Grandparents Program is part of the National Senior Service Corporation and sponsored locally by the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging. Foster Grandparents provide emotional support through listening, nurturing, tutoring and/or mentoring children with special needs in hospitals, Head Start, school, and daycares. If you are 55 years or older, receive a modest income and are able to commit to 15-40 hours a week-you can receive the following:
- tax-free stipend
- transportation and meal reimbursement
- earned personal time
- paid holidays

The mission of the Foster Grandparent is to maintain and increase its senior resource base by seeking additional resources to support program growth and enhance community relations by providing positive role models to children with special needs.
Description
A National Senior Service Corp Program, which provides a modest stipend in return for volunteers commitment of 15 hours per week. We serve in Cass, Dodge, Douglas, Sarpy, and Washington counties.
