MBIC New Brand

At the heart of our Clubhouse, we believe in the transformative power of community and purposeful work. Our unique approach centers around a model that empowers our members-adults with disabilities, the elderly, and those recovering from brain injuries or strokes-through structured Work Units. These units focus on various operational aspects of the Clubhouse, providing a supportive environment for skill development and rehabilitation in both cognitive and emotional capacities. Our members thrive on the meaningful contributions they make every day, supported by a dedicated staff and volunteers who believe in our mission.

Volunteer Opportunity: Administrative Support

We are seeking committed volunteers to join our administrative team, providing crucial support that keeps our Clubhouse thriving. While the essence of our program revolves around direct care and rehabilitation through work, our administrative and operational needs are equally vital. Volunteers play an indispensable role in ensuring the smooth running of our Clubhouse, from managing reception duties and data entry to engaging in advocacy research and supporting our communications through newsletter assistance.

Roles and Responsibilities

Volunteers in the administrative sector will:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support alongside our membership, offering an opportunity to engage with our diverse community while performing administrative tasks.
  • Work closely with staff on specific administrative needs, including data entry, file management, and chart auditing. This direct support is crucial for our day-to-day operations and offers a more focused administrative experience.
  • Participate in on-site and off-site support roles, tailored to match the volunteer's skills with our needs. Whether it's conducting research, managing inquiries, creating spreadsheets, or making calls, volunteers can opt to be paired with a staff member to assist with these specialized tasks.
Flexible Volunteer Hours

We understand the value of flexibility and are open to accommodating volunteers who can contribute between 2 to 4 hours weekly, anytime from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday. A commitment of at least one month is preferred to ensure consistency and stability for our members.

Join Us

This opportunity is ideal for those who wish to make a significant impact through both direct interaction and behind-the-scenes support. If you're looking to contribute to a community that values every member's contribution, regardless of the scale, and believes in the healing power of work and purpose, we'd love to hear from you.

Interested volunteers should reach out to Tammiko at tammiko@mbiclubhouse.org or call 312.226.8714. Your support can make a world of difference in the lives of those we serve.

Whether you're drawn to on-site engagement or prefer to support our administrative tasks from afar, your commitment is invaluable to us. Together, we can continue to foster an environment where every individual is empowered to reach their fullest potential.
