MBIC New Brand

Clubhouse Programs: This is an adult daycare for the disabled, elderly, brain injured and stroke population. The Clubhouse Model is based on the idea that work is healing for people and that everyone needs a purpose and productive activity. Members of the Clubhouse, with assistance of staff, are responsible for all of the daily operations through Work Units. In doing so, new and old skills can be learned to improve cognitive, physical and emotional abilities. All members are recognized for their contribution, not matter how big or small. Work Units & Programs: Business Unit, Kitchen Unit, Education & Employment Unit, Community Outings, Health & Wellness Programs

Aside from direct care, we have administrative and operational needs, as well. These duties include reception, data entry, filing and file creation, chart auditing, confidential note dictating, legislative and advocacy research, brain injury state initiative follow ups, phone calling, and assistance with our newsletter.

The Clubhouse is in need of volunteers who can commit to at least 2 - 4 hours a week (maybe once a week?) anytime between the hours of 8 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday, for at least a 1 month period. Consistency is key for the support in which our members need.

We need your help as soon as possible. Interested parties should email Tammiko at tammiko@mbiclubhouse.org

Mission Statement

Mission Statement: To provide life long rehabilitative services and support to those affected by brain injury or stroke.

Description

The Clubhouse is a unique place where individuals can come to relearn skills through the work of the day. We like to think of the Clubhouse as our home away from home and the folks here are like family. For many the Clubhouse is the next step in transitioning from a patient back into the real world.
