  • 68 people are interested

Read Aloud Delaware's mission is to ensure that each pre-school child in Delaware is read to regularly one on one. The children that we support need and enjoy the individual attention you will be providing as a Read Aloud volunteer! Can you spare 1-2 hours per week to read to children in area childcare centers? If so, we offer 31 Read Aloud sites to start a volunteer career working with young children!

Please visit our website at: www.readalouddelaware.org for more information on placement sites in your area and begin the application process to get started as a volunteer with READ ALOUD DELAWARE!

In order to provide the safest environment for the children to whom we read, Read Aloud Delaware will conduct a reference and criminal history check. In addition, all volunteers must complete a 1 hour training session prior to volunteer placement within a Read Aloud Delaware site. Weekly reading sessions are scheduled weekdays between 9am - 3pm.
