Hospice volunteers are people who wish to make a difference in the lives of the terminally ill or those who are grieving by giving their time to assist a patient or family members.
There are many ways you can help. Direct Care volunteers are age 16 and older who provide face-to-face support by sitting with a patient, running errands, praying, reading, singing or offering support. We can find a way to use your special talents to bring joy to a family.
Training is provided based on the level of contact you have with the patient as well as a free background check and TB test for direct care volunteers.

Hospice is a special form of care that is designed to provide comfort and support for those who are facing a life-limiting illness. It is a compassionate form of caring that promotes dignity and affirms quality of life for the patient, family members, and their loved ones. Our specialized team of hospice professionals works with the patient, family members, and attending physician to develop a plan of care that will best meet the patients individual needs.
We cover 11 counties in the Atlanta area so you can help in your own community if you like.
