Bay Area Green Tours

Bay Area Green Tours is a non-profit organization that creates interactive tours and experiences highlighting the sustainable economy in action to inspire and educate youth and adults to build a more enduring, resilient, and just future.

We're a grassroots operation reinventing ourselves by moving from in-person tours to virtual green tours. We are a 20-person volunteer-based organization for now, but we are building for the future by applying to grants and beginning outreach to corporations who want to sponsor our programs and/or buy virtual team building tours as well as in-person tours. We just redesigned our website and streamlined our operations in Salesforce with a committed, fun, and sharp team of interns and volunteers.

We are looking for a Research Volunteer who has the necessary skills to do research on projects which are in the process of being formulated.

  • Research historical/environmental information for upcoming projects
  • Create slide deck on research material
  • Attend meetings to collaborate with Core team
  • Contribute creative ideas for the development of our projects
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager
  • Experience in writing and communication
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in Google Sheets
  • Willingness to learn about the organization and its core philosophy
  • Strong research skills
Volunteers will report directly to the program manager overseeing tour development and crafting.
