Mission Statement
Our mission is to build community gardens where Tucsonans grow food, work and learn together, and nurture well-being in our communities.
Description
For more than thirty years, Community Gardens of Tucson (CGT) has established and managed gardens in diverse neighborhoods throughout our community -- oases that nurture not only edible plants but gardeners as well. Each location includes between 20-35 individually cultivated plots. There's a sliding scale fee for people who need financial assistance to join a garden and each garden has a site coordinator who helps maintain the public spaces and educate gardeners and visitors.
